AM I REALLY SAVED?
HOW CAN I BE SURE?
(THE BIBLE SAYS SO)

Your salvation does not depend upon the strength of your faith, for your salvation is found completely in Christ and his saving work for you. Take heart in God’s own words as he assures you of your salvation.

Jesus said, “I am the living bread that came down from Heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Everyone the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never cast out. This is the will of my Father in Heaven who sent me, that I should lose none of those He has given me but should raise them up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father: that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him will have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. John 6:37; 39-40; 51 (CSB).

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. I lay down my life for my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:11; 27-30.

If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also. John 14:3.

Know that you live in God the Father and he in you, because He has given you of his Spirit. And you may testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If you acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in you and you in God. And so you know and rely on the love God has for you. God is love. If you live in love, you live in God, and God lives in you. In this way, love is made complete in you so that you will have confidence on the day of judgment because in this world you are like Him. There is no fear in love, for perfect love drives out fear. God has given you eternal life, and this life is in His Son. You who have the Son have life; you who do not have the Son of God do not have life. 1 John 4:13-18; 5:10-13.

Jesus Christ chose you in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love, God predestined you to be adopted as His child through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will – to the praise of his glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One he loves. In Him, you have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on you with all wisdom and understanding. And you were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing your inheritance. Because of His great love for you, God, who is rich in mercy, made you alive with Christ even when you were dead in your transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourself, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that you cannot boast. For you are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do. Ephesians 1:3-2:10.

You, who are in Christ, are a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come. All this is from God, who reconciled you to Himself through Christ and gave you the ministry of reconciliation – that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting your sins against you. 2 Corinthians 5:17-19.

Jesus Christ saved you, not because of the righteous things you have done, but because of his mercy. God saved you through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, who He poured out on you generously through Jesus Christ your savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, you would become an heir having the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:5-7.

Now it is God who makes you stand firm in Christ. He anointed you, set his seal of ownership on you, and put his Spirit in your heart as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22.

From the beginning, God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17.

For He has rescued you from the dominion of darkness and brought you into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom you have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. God has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation. Colossians 1:13-14.

When the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that you might receive the full rights of one of his children. Because you are a child of God, God sent the Spirit of His Son into your heart, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”  So you are no longer a slave, but a child; and since you are a child, God as made you also an heir. Galatians 4:6-7.

You are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal body through his Spirit, who lives in you. If by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. The spirit himself testifies with your spirit that you are God’s child. Romans 8:9-16.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39.

This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came be Christ Jesus. God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. Romans 3:22-25.

You are not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Galatians 2:16; Hebrews 11:1.

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit. 1 Peter 3:18.

Since you have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall you be saved from God’s wrath through Him! For if, when you were God’s enemy, you were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall you be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but you also rejoice in God through your Lord Jesus Christ, through whom you nave now receive reconciliation. Romans 5:9-11.

Christ has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to you, who are waiting for Him. Hebrews 9:27.

All this is from God, who reconciled you to Himself through Christ and gave you the ministry of reconciliation. You are therefore one of Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through you. On Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for you, so that in Him you might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 4:18-21.

I write these things to you, who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:13.
